Trama Textiles x DittoHouse

The Star Pillow Cover was handwoven on a back strap* loom by Fabiana, Maria, Regina and Magdalena, Mam speakers, in Sacatépequez, Guatemala. The cutest little face emerges from pointillism like stitches that were woven using the quintessential bordado (brocade) method indicative of Mayan weaving. Created with an ancient weaving method, the Star pillow cover is a modern burst of joy that somehow travels in time- it is both past and present, then and now, here and there.

50% of the profits of the Star Pillow Cover will go to Trama Textiles’ Almaya Fund which aims to provide members of the Trama Textiles cooperative with access to health & welfare services, professional development and adult & child education, to improve health outcomes and end the cycle of poverty in communities.
