Impactful approach.

Selecting manufacturing partners is impactful for both parties and results in money and efforts exchanged and trust built. I want to make sure that my financial choices reflect my values as best as possible. I think it is important to be conscious of all aspects of my business and always remember the words of Dr. Reverend William Barber that “a budget is a moral document”.

Whether textiles are developed with Artisan Partners using the oldest textile technology or with American mills using high speed computerized looms, the approach is the same; A deep respect for the time and resources utilized to create a product as well as the impact that product will have on people and the earth.

  • TRAMA TEXTILES

Trama Textiles is a worker-owned and run cooperative of Indigenous Artisans in Quetzaltenango, Guatemala. What Trama models is what I aspire to for my business- preserving a craft that I love while treating others with respect and compassion. Collaborating with Trama Textiles was a dream come true, you can read all about our collaboration here.

  • MADE IN AMERICA

I started my textile career in a mill in North Carolina so domestic textile manufacturing feels like home to me. My development of American-made textiles usually starts with a visit to the manufacturing facility to be sure I completely understand the process and always design textiles specific to each mill’s machines and processes. I work with family-run mills and create thoughtful collections of textiles, in small batches using sustainable fibers whenever possible.
