My values guide my work.

I aim to design and operate with the bigger issues of the world in mind. I am aware that the textile industry has been built on exploitation and abuse of people and the land. I acknowledge this history and believe that through systems of solidarity, I can do good with my textiles and shine brilliantly with others.

  • CONSCIENTIOUS

I am aware that the textile industry has been built on exploitation and abuse of people and the land. I acknowledge this history and seek to build systems of solidarity as well as use sustainable practices and materials. I consider human dignity, the effects on our environment, and am especially aware of the history of the craft of textile design. I respect Indigenous People’s textile designs and the sacredness of a culture’s textiles. I am always learning about textile history, American history, cotton production in America, and the painful reality that the textile industry was built on stolen land by enslaved children, women and men.

  • RESPECT

I respect the time and resources it takes to create a textile. I work transparently with my customers and clients to eliminate unnecessary waste. I’ve created systems in my business to avoid unnecessary sampling and waste through clear and thorough communication and good work.

  • ENDURING

I believe in sustainable textile design that will thrill and delight for years and will be as lasting as the quality products they adorn. I aim to create designs for quality and lasting beauty, not working with passing trends, and sourcing and advocating for sustainable materials and quality production.
